Aaaachooooooo

The weather outside is not frightful, in fact, it's quite delightful...but...for a few weeks in spring I am wretched as I deal with running, itchy, burning eyes, an itchy palate, a dripping nose, plugged sinuses and sneeze attacks.  It's only for two or three weeks...I am grateful it's not for the whole summer.  As soon as the tree pollen dies down I'll be just fine.  In the mean time, I'll get the ducts cleaned, get a new allergy filter installed in the furnace and keep the windows closed.  Aerius anyone?  Aaaachoooooo

  1. I'm usually good until September, that is not a good month for me.

  2. Yeah, I'm at the tail end of a few really rough weeks. I should be good to go until October now.

    Hope you are, too!

    1. Amazing how many of us are adversely affected by the environment.

  3. I share your symptoms, Alas! No Aerius for me though --it interacts badly with cabernet sauvignon. I remain indoors until early evening and await summer. My sympathies and encouragement. Take heart, the trees will soon quit their production of allergens and calm themselves down again.

    1. At least it\s only a few weeks.....we can enjoy the summer. I've noticed the maple flowers are starting to drop and the sidewalks and sides of the street are now covered with green dust so it won't be long now.

  4. All my sympathies. Until I had a course of desensitising injections this was my spring and summer every year. Misery.

    1. I've heard that can be helpful. These allergies are a fairly new thing for me....I just started having problems a couple of years ago...before that I was just fine.

  5. Knock on wood, the only thing that affects my sinuses thus far in life is dust and mold. But I can imagine how horrid a pollen allergy is, and I sympathize. You probably already know not to hang your wash out? Yes. I thought you did :)

    1. The only stuff that hangs outside is large blankets and comforters....not until after tree pollen time though.

  6. Hopefully it will be a fast two weeks, allergies are not what spring should be about.
